To configure your iPhone (software version iOS7) for e-mail, please follow these steps:

  1. From the Home Page, tap Settings.

  2. Under Settings, select Mail, Contacts, Calendars

  3. Select Add Account

  4. In the following window, scroll down and select Other

  5. Select Add Mail Account

  6. In the New Account Window, enter the following information:

    • Name: the name of the mail user
    • Email: the email address provided to you(usually info@yourdomain.com)
    • Password: the password provided along with your email address
    • Description: a description for the email account

    Once you've entered all the correct information, tap Next

  7. In the next screen, make sure to tap POP at the very top section.

  8. Enter the following information for the Incoming Mail Server:

    • Host Name: the mail server, usually mail.yourdomain.com. (Make sure to replace yourdomain.com with your respective domain.)
    • User Name: the email address provided to you e.g. info@yourdomain.com
    • Password: the password for your email address

  9. Scroll down and enter the following information for the Outgoing Mail Server:

    • Host Name: the mail server, usually mail.yourdomain.com. (Make sure to replace yourdomain.com with your respective domain.)
    • User Name: the email address provided to you e.g. info@yourdomain.com
    • Password: the password for your email address

    Once you've entered all the necessary information, tap Save

  10. A pop-up will appear regarding the Server Identity. Tap Continue. If the pop-up continues to appear, tap Details, and then Accept on the next window.

  11. You will be redirected to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars window. Tap on your new email account. Here it is called VPG Demo.

  13. For the Incoming Settings, make sure to set the following:

    • Use SSL: OFF. If the button is green, swipe to the left to turn it off.
    • Authentication:Password

      To do this, tap on Authentication and then tap Password in the next window.

    • Server Port:change to 143

    The Incoming Settingsshould look like this:

  14. Once done, go back to your email settings and tap SMTP right under Outgoing Mail Server

  15. Make sure to use the following settings:

    • Use SSL:OFF. If the button is green, swipe to the left to turn it off.
    • Authentication:Password

      To do this, tap on Authentication and then tap Password in the next window.

    • Server Port:25
  16. Tap Done. You should be able to see your email account in the Mail app of your phone or tablet.
